A 26-year-old crypto content creator on TikTok was kidnapped in Juvisy-sur-Orge, France, last Friday — but was released a day later when the kidnappers realized he was broke.
The incident, first reported by Europe 1, involved four assailants who allegedly forced the TikToker into a stolen vehicle and demanded €50,000 ($57,000) in crypto.
💸 No Crypto, No Ransom
The trader, who has 40,000 followers on TikTok, was beaten during the abduction. However, after showing the attackers that his crypto wallet was nearly empty, they freed him unharmed on Saturday.
He is now receiving six days of medical leave and French police have launched an investigation through the Organized and Specialized Crime Division.
